00:27with the answers to the questions.

00:31When D found out that there were cruises

00:33that could take her to places

00:34like Alaska, for example,

00:35she thought that might be kind of a

00:37a way in to kind of get into

00:38some of these communities

00:40and not only see part of the world,

00:41but also kind of use that as a

00:42a chance to kind of spread her message as well.

00:46The cruise,

00:47a new initiative for the ministry,

00:49is one the sporty Diana

00:51would never miss.

00:52She sees it as a last hurrah

00:54for her involvement in the youth ministry.

00:58But Diana is headed for a destination

01:00no one could have imagined.

01:05The ministry's vision of discipleship,

01:07built on a foundation

01:08of leadership development,

01:10has served Diana well

01:12and has made lots of friends

01:14over the years.

01:17She has met a woman named Elizabeth,

01:19a very recent member

01:24On the surface,

01:25everything seems to be going right

01:27for Diana.

00:04she keeps in close contact with her family

00:06through social media,

00:10telling them all about the amazing places she's seeing

00:13and the fun she's having.

00:16Diana may love adventure,

00:18but being away from her parents

00:20is not something she finds easy to get used to.

00:24She buys a very expensive soapstone carving

00:27for her parents as a surprise.

00:30Her parents were a huge part of her life,

00:32and so I know that

00:33being away from them for so long was kind of hard for her,

00:35but that kind of free spirit that she had,

00:38that travel bug kind of overrode it sometimes.

00:40So she was able to get by without them.

00:44This is pretty exciting for Diana.

00:46She's this young girl.

00:48Finally, she gets to do a trip

00:50without her parents around,

00:52no one in her family.

00:54So for the first time ever,

00:55she doesn't have those watchful eyes,

00:57that parental control.

00:58She's able to let loose with her friends

01:02have some fun on this cruise,

01:04and she meets a girl

01:06that she's really attracted to

01:07and they start spending time together as young people do.

00:02in many aspects, very well behaved,

00:05very gentle type of people.

00:07This is an opportunity for them to just go

00:09and be regular kids outside of that

00:12type of mindset.

00:13Most of these young people have never seen

00:15this kind of luxury before.

00:17It's like they're on this town on the ocean.

00:19There's so much that they can do.

00:21There's unlimited food and drink

00:23and restaurants and places to hang out

00:25and tons of entertainment, places to party.

00:28So this is a really heady experience

00:30for Diana and her friends.

00:31Most of them have never had anything

00:33like this happen to them before.

00:37On vacation is a great time to try on

00:39new personas or be someone a little different,

00:42have more fun, be more relaxed,

00:44be a different person.

00:46So just as Diana may be discovering

00:48new sides to herself, maybe not everyone

00:50else on the ship is who they seem to be either.

00:54Both fiery, passionate and athletic,

00:56Diana and Elizabeth look like the perfect match.

01:06at least at first.

01:09The first time D told me about Elizabeth,

01:11I knew this was definitely a different situation

01:13than than anybody else.

01:14She hadn't been very open with me about

01:16romantic partners in the past, but with Elizabeth

01:18I knew that there was kind of a different spark there.

01:21The two of them basically became inseparable

01:23as far as I knew.

01:25A lot of physical touch, contact.

01:26I'm sure some people asked some questions,

01:28but they were unafraid of it.

01:30They were proud to be who they were.

00:27Typically people don't just cry for absolutely no reason.

00:44We don't know.

00:45But we know that that is sort of a defining moment

00:48in the sense that we know something has happened

00:50to trigger that response.

00:54We talk about timelines

00:56and and looking back where people have come from

00:59and what's happened prior to an event

01:00and then what happens immediately after that event

01:02as being important to determine what actually occurred.

01:07Somebody observing a person in distress

01:10or having an emotional reaction to something

01:13is certainly an indication of an event.

01:18We just need to find out what that event is.

01:20It may not be anything,

01:21but it's certainly something to give us a point of of reference

01:24and and get us to start asking questions about what's going on.
