00:20This seemed like a new start to her. So any doubt she had, she would have quite quickly pushed them to the back of her mind.
00:27And James wasn't the only mysterious Hong Konger Rita was to meet.
00:35One day, James introduces Rita to another of his friends, a man he calls Simon. And Rita described Simon as a similarly good-looking man in his 30s.
00:43From that point onwards, Simon seemed to always be around James.
00:48And whenever James and Simon were together, often with Rita looking on, they would talk in Chinese, so she was not aware of the conversation they were having. And it just started to niggle her.

00:33In March 1977, the couple were ready to set off for Paris when things took an unexpected turn.

00:56James told Rita that sadly he had some business to attend to, but not to worry, the trip was still going ahead. As it happened, Simon was going to Bangkok, so why didn't she go with him for a few days and he would meet her in Paris?
